Dr. Deborah Tirsun (or, as her patients call her, ‘Dr. Deb’) graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Binghampton University with a degree in neuroscience and a minor in education. She then continued her studies at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where she received her dental degree and was president of her class.
After eight years of cold upstate weather, Dr. Tirsun returned home and completed her General Dentistry Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. Having had such a wonderful experience, she continued her post-doctorate education there and obtained her specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Tirsun served as Chief Resident during her final year of residency.
Dr. Tirsun was fortunate to realize early on that treating the pediatric population was a natural fit. Having come from a large family, interacting with children comes second nature to her. Her goal is to bring this warmth to each of her patients and treat them as though they are extensions of her family. She aims to make every visit positive, fun, and informative.
In her free time, Dr. Tirsun enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves to ski, bake, and is an amateur ceramicist.
